Some prefer sci-fi, while others crave spice. Or, maybe it's nonfiction all the way. E-book or traditional, there are plenty of options, and that's what truly comes across in the breadth of the lineup for The DC Center's 3rd annual OutWrite LGBT Book Fair.
Kicking off Friday evening, Aug. 2, with ''Women Write Gay Erotica,'' the fair continues through to Sunday, closing with the ''Assaracus Poetry Brunch.''
In between those bookends at The DC Center's 1318 U St. NW space, OutWrite has a full day Saturday at the Reeves Center, 2000 14th St. NW – the center's tentative new home – of panels and readings, mixing and mingling. Or, step outside for Cuenta Cuentos, a ''Latin@ poetry and short narrative public reading'' at the 14th and U Farmers Market.
With so many options, take a page from childhood and choose your own adventure. Metro Weekly, meanwhile, offers profiles of three of the fair's page-turners.
